-last night after a long day of not doing much, and wanting to continue to not do much, my friend and I sat down to watch a movie. We watched a few trailers and decided that The Veteran (2011) seemed like a good action movie to watch. But it was so much more.
The Veteran is set in London (in a rather dodgy area). After being a soldier in Afghanistan, Robert Miller returns to his home town of London and realizes things aren't that much better here. There's a war in London, but it's a much more brutal one. That's basically what this movie is about, it's brutal honesty, nothing is glorified, and brave accusations are made. It's a critique of our society today, and opens your eyes to new conspiracies about the war.
Its a fantastic movie, i highly recommend it and would give it a 9/10 (trailer below)
